Netflix is cutting 6% of its workforce, roughly 1,000 employees, in the largest layoff since 2022, according to an internal memo co-CEOs Greg Peters and Ted Sarandos sent to staff on Wednesday.
The cuts target product, tech, legal and human-resources teams most heavily. Reuters obtained the memo.
The company cites intense competition for viewers and engagement from legacy television rivals and YouTube as the driver behind the reduction.
