Harvey Nichols' Birmingham store will close in January, eliminating at least 60 jobs, according to The Guardian. The closure is part of a restructuring by Frasers Group, which owns Sports Direct and acquired Harvey Nichols in August for £43 million when the department store chain entered administration.

Frasers Group, led by Mike Ashley, is converting Harvey Nichols' Leeds and Bristol locations to the Flannels brand as part of the overhaul. Harvey Nichols' headquarters remain at its Knightsbridge site in London.

The Birmingham closure represents one of the first major operational changes since Ashley's acquisition of the luxury retailer. The group purchased Harvey Nichols on the day it was placed into administration in mid-August, The Guardian reports.
